About Me!
I was born and raised in Holland, MI and attended West Ottawa High School. After graduating, I went to Ferris State University where I received my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. During my time at Ferris I was also fortunate to play varsity football and basketball for 5 years. This is also where I met my wife, Lindsay, while she was a member of the Ferris State volleyball team. After graduation, Lindsay and I decided to relocate to Denver, CO. I accepted a 4th grade teaching position and she accepted a job with a marketing agency. I taught 4th grade for 4 years and during that time I also returned to school and obtained a Master of Education degree in Education Administration from Grand Canyon University. Lindsay and I spent the past 5 years in Denver enjoying the sunshine and endless beauty of the Rocky Mountains. We were able to spend countless hours in the mountains hiking, fishing, hunting, and snowboarding while creating memories and experiences that will last a lifetime. During our time in Denver, there was always one piece of our lives that was missing and that piece was family. Both of our families still reside in Michigan, and we decided that it was time to move back home and be closer to them. In the summer of 2013, Lindsay, myself, and our black lab Remington moved back to Michigan and I accepted a position with Whitehall District Schools. This is my first year teaching 5th grade in Whitehall and I am also a varsity assistant football coach for the Vikings. We are both very excited to be apart of the Whitehall community and we can't wait for what the future holds here in Whitehall! |
